The Cheltonian is owned by James Neal and published monthly under licence by his company Media Publishing Group Ltd. It is the most popular free full colour glossy magazine in the town.

At the back of each edition you will find The Cheltonian Resource, this section contains the latest news, cinema and DVD releases, the ‘Cheltonian Scene’, What’s On and virtually every telephone number, address and web site a reader is ever likely to need in the Cheltenham area. Included are doctors, dentists, opticians, local and emergency services / out of hours numbers for all manner of things from fallen trees, abandoned cars, adoption services to trading standards and youth services.
Also included in the Cheltonian Resource are all the contact details for restaurants, takeaways, taxis, sport & leisure, education (schools, colleges, universities and special needs), estate agents, solicitors, financial services organisations (banks, building societies, insurance companies & financial advisors)

For instance there are magazines / brochures (we prefer to refer to them as ‘ad mags’) that are solely focused on advertisements. They offer little to no editorial content and even less in the way of a local resource. They are a low quality product that offers no additional benefit to the advertiser whatsoever.
The Cheltonian can demonstrate how it adds value to its advertisers and their investment through the high quality of its production, editorial features and resource content, all of which combine to ensure that each edition is retained for an extended period. In fact our research indicates that an edition of The Cheltonian has an average shelf-life of 3 months!
The Cheltonian is produced to the highest possible standard and no expense is spared when creating the classy ‘perfect (notch) bound’ (much like a paperback novel) magazine that has a durable, yet stylish, gloss laminate finish. Yet despite this approach our advertising rates are actually less than a great many of the other, lesser quality, publications in the area.

In addition to the physically printed editions The Cheltonian can also be read online. A large number of ‘digital readers’ visit the web site every month. (including people who have either visited Cheltenham or moved to other areas). This, in turn, further increases the readership of each edition.
Please Note: We now offer a subscription service for the printed editions as a result of the popularity of the digital edition.
In addition, all main competition entries are registered through our web site. This offers our advertisers another opportunity to 'touch' the reader. Our online directory and resource (a valuable reader resource) provides advertisers with the chance to re-direct readers to their respective websites by the way of their own listing and hyperlink.
